We’re back at it in this third installment of “Ding Repair Chronicles.” In this video we are fixing a board that was dinged, left outside and has some foam and wood rot from being exposed to the elements. As usual, we’re fixing the ding without using any power tools. It looks like a big challenge when we first see the board but it’s important to remember to follow these 4 steps:
1. Assess the damage
2. Remove loose material
3. Fill the damaged area
4. Re-glass the ding
It really is that simple! If you’re looking to do a full restoration or some color matching then it becomes more difficult. Here is a basic list of materials you’ll need for a ding repair project. Good luck and happy fixing!
